How many pages can I add to my website?

You can create an unlimited number of pages and sub pages. We just recommend that you don't over do it and crowd your layout.

Is the price of my website a one time fee or is it ongoing?

The price of your website is a one time fee. No reoccurring website charges will be applied.

Does my CMD hosting account include Email?

Yes. You can setup and manage emails in conjunction with your domain name (ie: info@yourdomain.com).

What is a Splash Page?

A splash page is a separate landing page that viewers will see when they first arrive at your website. From the Splash page you can give your viewers the choice to visit different pages such as your HTML Site, Blog, Photo Shopping Cart and more.

What is Website Hosting?

Website hosting is basically the rental of server space for the purpose of storing and displaying your website.

Do you provide SSL Certificates?

Yes. You will receive a free SSL Certificate for each domain and subdomain. This will allow your website to run in secure, https://, mode which will comply with the new Google standards and will also help with Google SEO

What is a Photo Shopping Cart?

The photo shopping cart is a page where you can upload a collection of photos, products, and packages to sell online.

Does CMD take a % of my photo cart sales?

No, we don't take a commission on your sales or charge extra fees based on the amount of uploaded photos.

What's your refund policy?

We will return your money within the first 30 days if you aren't fully satisfied.

I'm not a photographer, can I still use your website templates?

Yes. We have a wide variety of clients who aren't photographers. Our website designs are also great for Architects, Florists, Restaurants Owners and more.

Can my website design be customized?

Yes. Please call for a free consultation on how your website design can be customized.

How do I "Go Live" with my new website?

When your website is ready, you'll click the Go Live button in your Website Admin and ,with a few easy steps, your new website will be live. We recommend allowing 2-3 business days for this process to be fully completed.

Do your website templates support European text accents and characters?

Yes.

If I choose to transfer my website to my own server can I still edit it.

Yes. Our websites are fully editable on any server.

Photo Cart

What is a Photo Shopping Cart?

The photo shopping cart is a page where you can upload a collection of photos, products, and packages to sell online.

How many images can I upload?

We provide 20Gb of disk space with our hosting. This should allow for about 10,000+ photos.

Does CMD take a % of my photo cart sales?

No, we don't take a commission on your sales or charge extra fees based on the amount of uploaded photos.

Can I password protect my photos?

Yes, you can create a password for your individual photo albums.

How do I accept online payments?

Online payments can be processed via Paypal or your Authorize.Net account, or you can charge your clients manually.

What currencies can I accept?

You can define any currency in your photo cart settings and charge clients in your currency.

What is Website Hosting?

Website hosting is basically the rental of a server space for the purpose of storing and displaying your website.

Why is it best to use CMD's hosting services?

The main reason to host with CMD is that you'll receive regular updates to your website and photo cart. We're constantly listening to client feedback and adding requested features. Otherwise, our servers are maintained for the optimal performance of your website and we provide full website / server compatibility support if you need us.

Does my CMD hosting account include Email?

At what point does my CMD website hosting start?

Your first year of hosting starts at the time of your website purchase.

Can I host slideshows or other files on your server?

Yes. With our hosting service you can upload and store your slideshows and other files.

Can I transfer my CMD website to another server?

Yes. If you choose to host your website on another server, that meets our basic requirements, we'll transfer it for you for a one time fee of $100.

Domain Names

What is a Domain Name?

A domain name is your website address. i.e. johndoephotography.com. Your domain name needs to be pointed to your website in order for viewers to access it.

Does CMD register Domain Names?

No. We're happy to advise you on how to register a domain name however Creative Motion Design does not register or host domain names.

Can I have multiple Domain Names pointing to my website?

Yes. We can advise you in setting up multiple domains / subdomains and point them to your website, blog, or photo shopping cart.
(ie: yourdomain.com can point directly to your website)
(ie: photocart.yourdomain.com can point to your photo shopping cart)
(ie: otherdomain.com can point to your website or blog or photocart)
